On Baby Books...

Just a few short months ago, I was reading "The time traveler's wife" and "Water for Elephants." And just recently I had finished "Shopping for time" by Carolyn Mahaney.

Today, both on the bookshelf and in my current wish list you will find:

"On Becoming Babywise"
"Shepherding a Child's Heart"
"365 things every new mom should know"
"Husband Coached Childbirth: The Bradely Method"
and the proverbial "What to Expect when your Expecting"

Talk about a new stage of life! I think it's safe to say I've got enough reading material for the next few months! :-)

Rebecca, I'm so glad to see Babywise on your wish list. It's an awesome help to a first time mom (and even the second go round too!). Also Shepherding a Child's Heart is very helpful when that little blessing develops into his natural sin nature!! Great times! After reading these books, you will be more than ready for your little baby!! So excited for you both. Kim

Just happened by your blog while surfing for some baby info. Not sure if you've thought about breastfeeding but a great book I read while pregnant for my first baby was "So That's What They're For: Breastfeeding Basics" by Janet Tamaro. It takes a really helpful and funny look at all the things that go along with breastfeeding. With the help of this book I was able to nurse my little girl for 13 months! I'll be taking a look at it again in a few months when our baby boy is born. Best of luck!
