Rebecca, I'm so glad to see Babywise on your wish list. It's an awesome help to a first time mom (and even the second go round too!). Also Shepherding a Child's Heart is very helpful when that little blessing develops into his natural sin nature!! Great times! Just happened by your blog while surfing for some baby info. Not sure if you've thought about breastfeeding but a great book I read while pregnant for my first baby was "So That's What They're For: Breastfeeding Basics" by Janet Tamaro. It takes a really helpful and funny look at all the things that go along with breastfeeding. With the help of this book I was able to nurse my little girl for 13 months! I'll be taking a look at it again in a few months when our baby boy is born. Best of luck!
