Bicycle Adventures and other fun things!

In an effort to become more active, find more quality time and soak up a nice dose of Vitamin D, Chris and I have recently discovered the joys of riding bikes! We even make it official with a bike rack, as demonstrated in the top left photo. (Note to self and others: don't waste your time trying to squeeze a full size bike into a honda civic) It has been a fun adventure for us so far, and we look forward to sunny Spring days when it's not so brisk and windy! I wasn't aware of how out of shape my body really was, and am glad to feel like I'm taking some baby steps at least to a more healthier me.

In other news, in start contrast to my healthy kick I have developed a fierce addiction to girl scout cookies. :) Caramel Delights to be exact. Mmmmm....it really is the small things that make your day. It's probably a good thing they only sell them once a year, lol. For all of you girl scout cookie fans, March 15th is the last day so stock up!

We've been very busy lately! We had a great Valentines day, our first as a married couple. Last weekend Chris' mom and sister came to NC, and our church held a conference with Sam Storms. On the work front, Spring really is proving itself to be a very busy season for real estate. Though the day does go by faster when your busy, it seems lately that my to do list grows and grows faster than i can check things off! And unfortunately, with lots of projects, deadlines, and many new listings on the horizon, I don't see a calm sea in the near future. Nevertheless, I am thankful for a steady job where I am encouraged and affirmed in my work, and am learning from new experiences daily. Busy as it may be, it's not so bad after all. I look forward to my girl scout cookies when I get home:) (And seeing my adorable husband of course!)

Museum Days!

On Saturday, Chris and I ventured to Downtown Raleigh to see the the Musuem of Natural Sciences and the NC Musuem of History. What a fun day it was, and we enjoyed such beautiful weather! I enjoyed learning about the tropics and all of the fun animals that make NC their home. I was excited to eat at the Acro Cafe in the Museum (to complete the experience), and speaking Acros, we also learned about some newfound dinasours. I was not as impressed or captivated with the History Musuem, most of which appealed to boys I think with its large wartime and NC Sports hall of fame exhibits. Our legs were defitley tired by the end of the day, but it was worth it. Walking around the historic downtown area and touring the musuems was a great experience and a nice break from our usual Saterday routine. It seems like we've been so busy lately; it was nice enjoy a day to ourselves. We hope to have many fun "dates" there in the warm future:)

My very first blog!

Hello friends and family! I'm excited to be writing my very first blog, and hope that this will prove a great way to keep in touch and up to date with you, and also to preserve some memories along the way. I'm not sure where to begin, except to give you a small snapshot of some exciting recent happenings that have shaped our present day.

1. Chris & I got married on July 21st, 2007.

2. After a magical honeymoon in Disney World, we moved to Wake Forest, NC.

3. I work fulll-time in Durham doing marketing for real estate. Chris and I have been blessed to be a part of Christ Baptist Church in Wilson, NC, where Chris leads worship. He learns during the week at Southeastern and works at Caribou Coffee. We go to bed early.

4. We are learning and growing everyday as husband and wife.
