Chris and I had a great time in Pennsylvania this weekend. It was a short trip, but worth the ride. We especially enjoyed a day in NYC. Here are some pictures! Our swing pic in Central Park is my favorite :)

On the go...
Spring has had a busy start this year. Chris was in Kentucky last week for the Together for the Gospel conference. I was so glad for him to have such a great opportunity, and can't wait to read some of the great and FREE books he recieved there. As for me, I had a very productive week on my own, but am glad to have my husband back. We had a nice leisurly weekend with great weather-the perfect opportunity for a bikeride in downtown Wake Forest. We even discovered a brand new ice cream shop in our travels, mmmm.
This afternoon we will be getting ready to leave for Pennsylvania for a trip to see Chris' parents. I am most excited for our day trip to NYC on Friday, and can't wait to see my great friend Lisa there :) We will be sure to take lots of pictures!

Fun with Fabric!
Lately, I am overwhelmed with the sense to be creative! Chris and I went to the "Mill Factory Outlet" today, which is like the mecca of all fabric stores. So many to choose from, it's almost overwhelming. I have many new projects in mind. To start small, I'm going to try and "upholster" a picture frame made of unfinished wood(thanks Michaels, just $1.99!!!). If all goes well, I would like to learn to make curtains, pillows and much more! (I feel like sometimes I have these great ideas, but have zero coordination to back them up!)
Sewing is a skill that I would love to aspire to in the future. Other than being a fun and creative outlet, I believe it can also be very cost efficient. And chances are, if you can't find exactly what your looking for, you can probably make it!
